Mediation Northern Ireland is currently recruiting for new positions.

  1. The Next Generation Project is a programme designed to build the capacity of young mediators within Northern Ireland. Its aim is to use training, peer reflection and practise to develop skilled mediators to deal with contentious issues as well as to develop programmes for systemic change. The programme will initially run for one year.
  2. With the Support of the EU Peace III Programme, Mediation Northern Ireland is recruiting a Project Manager and a Development Assistant for The Møst Project– International Dialogue for Civic Leadership.The deadline for the applications has now passed, although expressions of interest for the training programme are still accepted.

Good Relations in Co. Leitrim

Mediation Northern Ireland, in partnership with Ruth Moore, Hazel Hicks & Barbara Corkey has been awarded a contract to delive an innovative good relations support programme in the Leitrim County Council area funded by the EU Peace 3 Programme.

The Supporting the Protestant Community Programme will ­­­­develop local services including a forum & reconciliation training to enhance the capacity and leadership of the Protestant community in this Border area.

Foundation Training Course in Church Mediation

This course examines people’s experience of conflict in life and in the Church, attitudes towards conflict and the varied personal responses. A range of different ways of handling conflict is also examined. Particular attention will be paid to mediation as an intervention and when it is appropriate to use it as a method of dealing with conflict in church settings. The different stages of the mediation process will be explored and appropriate skills at each stage will be identified.
